Meet Our Optometrists

Dr. Walter Rutkowsky

Dr. Rutkowsky is the practice founder. He is a board-certified optometric physician with decades of experience in general practice. He specializes in low vision care, complex eyeglass prescriptions, and specialty contact lens fitting. Dr. Rutkowsky earned his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry with an emphasis in low vision.

Dr. Binhyen Ta

Dr. Bhinyen Ta, a Bradenton native, is a 2023 Graduate of Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. Dr. Ta earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida. She received her board certification from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in 2025. Dr. Ta has a kind and compassionate approach to every patient she meets. Her experience and interests include Comprehensive Eye Care, Ocular Aesthetics, and Emergency Eye Care. She is an excellent communicator in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.

Dr. George Brown

In 2013, Dr. Brown partnered with Dr. Rutkowsky with the goal of bringing full scope optometry, expanding our clinical services. His experience in comprehensive and specialty eye care, including pediatrics, vision therapy, digital eye strain, and advanced dry eye services has helped evolve our practice into what we do today. Dr. Brown is fellowship trained and completed his optometric degree at the New England College of Optometry.
